HOLY CANNOLI MAMA❣️
🎉 Happy New Year 🎉

I hope your 2024 is off to a great start and that the year evolves in the way you desire.

I was talking with a client toward the end of 2023, and she told me her intention for 2024 was not to have one. She is not making plans of what she would like to achieve this year. This is HUGE for her. She is a big-time planner from the time she wakes up in the morning to right before putting her head on her pillow at the end of the day. It has served her well over the years, it helped her build a wildly successful global career with far reaching industry wide impact, but it also came at a cost.

She lost sight of who she was outside of her highly planned life and career.

The question became, does she pause her ambition or participate differently?

She loves what she does and has no desire to leave her position.

So participate differently it is. Our first step was to help her reconnect with herself and articulate what she feels she is missing/desires. Then our second step was to develop a strategic plan for her to live into this new way of being in her work and personal life.

Ok so ultimately she did develop a plan, but it was a much different one than she would have had she followed the traditional path of year-end rituals. She laughed when we completed this process and said, “now this is a plan I can live with.”

I am excited to see how this year evolves for her.

So here is my question for you, have you made a plan, set goals, or intentions for 2024?  If you have, does this plan feed your soul or deplete it?  One that inspires you or is another “to do” list?

If it is another “to do” list or full of “shoulds,” please take some time and create a new one, follow your heart and honor you.

Here are a couple of questions that I ask myself when I get stuck in this process.

“How do I want to feel this year?”

“What do I want to experience, learn, or create this year?”

The first time I did this I recognized that when I was looking at what I wanted to achieve, I caught myself saying “Holy Cannoli Mama” when I was really excited about something, so that was my barometer. If I did not react with Holy Cannoli Mama energy, I politely said no thank you.

What is your barometer? That thing that makes it clear this is a good decision for you.  If you don’t have one yet, you are more than welcome to borrow mine.

I’m wishing you many, many, many Holy Cannoli Mama moments this year and beyond❣️❣️❣️
